Hi - After many months of thinking about HD, I finally (gulp) bought a Panasonic AG-HVX200P. -- I'm not associated with Panasonic in any way. My initial impressions with this camera are: 1.) The quality of construction is impressive. 2.) The video quality is outstanding. 3.) The P2 concept - while currently expensive, is greatly - imagine flipping on the video camera and within 3 seconds you are shooting - not listening to tape mechanisms load and unload. 4.) Mackie driver downloads. ) Make sure you have the latest (and I mean latest) version of FCP loaded - It didn't work with 5.0.1, and worked flawlessly with 5.0.4. 3.) Put the Camera into 'PC' mode - which requires pushing the 'Camera' button at the back of the camera once, and then push it again and hold it until the PC transfer LED is lit (this was the piece that the Apple note covered). 4.) Then connect the firewire cable, and you should get at least one of the P2 cards to mount. 5.) If you want to mount both cards, you might have to open Disk Utility and select the 'greyed' out P2 card and mount it. ---- The Apple document is named 20060302 FCPWkflw.pdf - there does not seem to be an associated part number for this.
